The Metis Marketing Manager will be involved in all aspects marketing efforts that build the brand and, ultimately, ensure exposure to and conversion of outstanding prospective students. This role will report to the Executive Director of Marketing and be responsible for the evolution and management of the bootcamp marketing strategy, implementation and results.


The Marketing Manager (Bootcamp) will support all marketing efforts to build brand awareness, generate/nurture leads, and drive enrollments.  They will execute on and help evolve the marketing strategy to maximize business outcomes, collaborating closely with the admissions team and working with internal/external specialists. Specific responsibilities include:

Content: Own content strategy and creation, including blog posts, case studies, video content, webinars, emails, and whitepapers. Collaborate with copywriter to produce content.

Email and Marketing Automation: Leverage CRM and marketing automation to develop an enhanced lead nurturing strategy for existing leads, find new opportunities to leverage email to nurture leads, and collaborate with admissions to improve efficiencies where possible. Own campaign email calendar, content creation, and setup/deployment in Pardot.

Advertising: Own campaigns from strategy to execution, reporting and subsequent lead nurturing, with the support of paid social and paid search agencies.

CRM: Utilize Salesforce to manage and report on campaigns, and push to maximize capabilities of the platform.

Reporting: Utilize Google Analytics, Pardot, Salesforce, and other tools to analyze, optimize and report on campaigns to stakeholders.

Social Media: Collaborate with part-time copywriter, who develops and manages the social media calendar across LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter.

Conference Sponsorships: Support events manager on conference sponsorships. Attendance required at some conferences sponsored to support logistics and booth (some travel required).

Event Support: Help promote live and/or online events hosted by Metis in collaboration with the National Evangelist & Events Manager.

Thought leadership & PR: Collaborate with PR team to leverage subject matter experts on build Metis’s position as a leader in the data science training space.  

Ideal Candidate:

  • 5+ years of work experience, ideally with a track record of success in education marketing
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads, Salesforce, Pardot, and Google Optimize
  • Exposure to data science or desire to learn more about data science and its business applications
  • Strategically minded while also able to execute and take initiative
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Diligent attention to detail and ability to lead and manage projects independently
  • Experience building reports and analyzing results to formulate insights.
  • Savvy social media content creator
  • Great social skills with the confidence to build relationships with students and alumni
  • Experience on small, collaborative, high-growth team(s)
  • Ready to jump into a fast-paced startup environment and take ownership
