Course Description
This 3 hour live online course reinforces your company’s data-driven culture by teaching non-technical employees how to review and organize data with spreadsheet applications. They’ll become more comfortable with data analysis, without needing to involve your analytics team. Here’s how: we’ll practice cleaning, exploring, analyzing, and visualizing data using spreadsheet tools like Google Sheets and Excel. Plus, we’ll support further learning in business intelligence and analysis. We’ll end our course by exploring practical applications of our data in real-world scenarios.

Discuss what can be accomplished using spreadsheet applications
Open, create, and save a spreadsheet

Working with Functions
Build out basic numerical, date, and string functions
Write functions that create summary statistics
Use absolute and relative cell references.
CHAPTER 3:
Working with Conditional Functions
Build out conditional functions using if else statements across multiple cells
Create conditional functions such as if statements, and/or statements, and nested if statements
Create functions that work across multiple values
CHAPTER 4:
Vlookups and Index Matching
Perform a vlookup to find corresponding values
Use index matching to find values from corresponding columns
Learn advanced vlookup capabilities
CHAPTER 5:
Sorting and Filtering
Sort and filter data according to specific questions
Basic sorting and filtering

Pivot Tables
Build a pivot table that summarizes data according to categories and statistics
