Most Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the app process like? Who can apply to the Data Analytics Bootcamp?

The application process includes three steps: 1) submit your online application, 2) complete a non-technical interview with our Admissions team, and 3) complete a technical assessment.

At each stage, our team reviews your submissions and determines your preparedness to succeed in the Data Analytics Bootcamp. We assess applicants on (1) programming experience, (2) communication skills, (3) math experience, (4) personality traits of passion, curiosity, and grit, (5) potential overall fit within the Metis bootcamp structure, and (6) motivation to join the bootcamp.

If the admissions committee agrees that there’s potential for success in the bootcamp, the applicant is informed of their acceptance in writing within 2 business days of completing Step 3, the technical assessment. Currently, we are able to accept applicants from the following U.S. states. If you happen to live in a state where we are not yet approved in, please still submit your application and our Admissions team will follow up with you once we have updates regarding your eligibility.

  • What if I don’t feel prepared to apply for the bootcamp right now?

If you’d like to enhance your math, Python, and overall data science skills prior to applying, we’d recommend considering one of our part-time bootcamp prep courses. Gain the skills you need and then apply your tuition paid from one course toward the bootcamp.

Additionally, we recommend that you register for our free Metis Admissions Prep to develop your data science and analytics fundamentals!

  • Is the Data Analytics Bootcamp a full-time commitment?

Our Online Flex format is just that, flexible. This format, which typically requires 15-20 hours per week and includes deadlines for assignments and projects to keep you on track.

  • How much does this cost? And What are the payment options?

Tuition for the Data Analytics Bootcamp is $9,000 for the Live Online format and $7,000 for the Online Flex format. If accepted, a deposit of $1,500 is required within 7 days of signing the enrollment agreement in order to secure a spot. After making the deposit, students have the option of paying in installments. We also partner with Ascent or Climb Credit for affordable third party financing options. Both offer several monthly repayment options for our accepted students.

Women, members of underrepresented demographic groups*, members of the LGBTQ community, and/or veterans or members of the U.S. military are eligible to receive a $2,000 scholarship toward their bootcamp tuition.

*Underrepresented demographic groups include African Americans, Native Americans (American Indians, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiians), Mexican-Americans, Pacific Islanders, Hispanic and Latino Americans, and mainland Puerto Ricans.
