Data Science Bootcamp
Apply to Metis
New York City | San Francisco
This Bootcamp runs in-person for 12 weeks, Monday through Friday, from 9 am - 6 pm. It is preceded by online pre-work. At the end of the program, you will receive career counseling, participate in our Career Day, and become a member of the greater Metis alumni network that includes developers and digital product designers as well as other Data Science bootcamp graduates.
Data scientists, as you probably know, are highly sought after. One reason for this is that they possess a triad of skill-sets which make them uniquely valuable to companies. Data scientists must be competent, continual fast learners in the areas of statistics (or modeling or machine learning), programming, and communication. Even the best analyses are of little use if you can’t explain to a mixed audience what you did and what it means. The Metis Data Science bootcamp will provide training and support in all three of these categories, but it will be necessary for success that applicants come to the program with a solid beginning on each of them.
In addition, we believe that certain character traits are necessary for success in data science: curiosity, grit, and creativity. The ever-evolving landscape of tools and skills require flexibility, imagination, and comfort with picking up new approaches on the fly and applying them in novel situations immediately and with confidence.
